"Two in the morning..."

It's currently two in the morning on a Sunday, though I suppose it's Monday now, I'm listening to Buckethead on my headphones and I should have started this blog a while ago but better late than never. This blog will be a record of my current film project "The Call to Adventure". The title needs changing but it'll do for now.

So far I have written a first draft of the script and am currently revising it. The script is about a barmaid called Alice. She is a curious and adventurous soul but is held back by her reluctance to leave a comfortable situation. The story tells of how a strange meeting led her to make the first step towards living the eventful life she desires.

The script is good but needs work still. I am trying to improving my writing by analysing some of my favourite authors. H.P.Lovecraft and Jules Verne. I think that the scene with Jim and Zach and the final one may not be needed.

For this project it will be important to not only focus on the script, I must also consider what I want the film to look and sound like. I also should invest some time into getting more to grips with how the equipment works.

First thing to do is to go to bed though.
